The Landes, and the Seignanx region in particular, are bursting with local producers! Here’s a small selection of good places to buy fruit, vegetables and other local produce direct from the grower. So you can eat 100% organic and local food throughout your stay camping in the Landes !
L’Autre Campagne in Saint Martin de Seignanx (aromatic plants and edible flowers)
A farm… like no other! Since 2016, Lucille Bonnet and Thomas Panzolato have developed a very different market gardening business in Saint-Martin-de-Seignanx. This is a hydroponic and aquaponic farm, where water replaces soil and fish and plants mutually enrich each other in a closed circuit. Rare and wild herbs and edible flowers are grown above ground, in a 600-square-meter greenhouse. Guided tours, brunches and gourmet evenings are regularly organized, with tastings of freshly picked plants and direct sales of farm produce. As a certain Buddha once said: “Pleasure is gathered, joy is harvested and happiness is cultivated”.
